Project Overview
Our latest project is a thoughtfully designed play cafe for children aged 0–8, themed around “City Exploration”, with a total area of 260 square meters. The play cafe design from us is inspired by a warm and engaging story: in Little Haines City, a postman named Sam embarks on a special journey after receiving a mysterious letter, spreading kindness throughout the city.

Based on this narrative, we created an immersive indoor playground within a rectangular space with a ceiling height of 3.65 meters, aiming to stimulate children’s five senses, ignite their imagination, and strengthen parent-child emotional connections. Every visit is designed to feel like a dramatic and memorable urban adventure.
Design Concept & Core Vision
Centered on the theme of “City Exploration,” the play cafe design integrates sensory stimulation, imaginative play, and parent-child interaction into one cohesive environment. The space combines elements of nature-inspired learning, sensory discovery, and interactive play, providing children with a safe, comfortable, and creativity-driven environment.

The play cafe layout is carefully planned and divided into five key functional zones, offering diverse play experiences while maximizing spatial efficiency and engagement.
Storyline
In Little Haines City, postman Sam’s daily work goes beyond delivering letters—he is both a witness to and a participant in the city’s everyday stories. When he receives a mysterious letter without a specific address, bearing only the words “To the friend who needs help the most,” Sam embarks on a meaningful journey. Guided by kindness and wisdom, he ultimately ensures the letter reaches the person who truly needs it.

This storyline serves as the emotional backbone of the play cafe, encouraging children to explore themes of empathy, community, and social connection through play.
Functional Zones
1. Toddler Zone – Role-Play & Interactive Area (Ages 0–3)
A safe, soft, and gentle developmental space designed specifically for infants, toddlers, and their caregivers. Key features include soft crawling pads, modular soft play structures, and role-play playhouses. This zone supports early sensory development and motor skills in a calm and secure environment.

2. Adventure Play Zone – Main Play Equipment Area (Ages 3–8)
An active area designed for climbing, sliding, and large motor skill development. The double-level wooden play structure is cleverly integrated with a ball pit, while the first level is designed as a role-play house, enhancing space utilization and play value. This zone encourages physical strength, coordination, and adventurous exploration.

3. Gas Station – Children’s Traffic Simulation Zone
Designed around visual sensory engagement, this area features simulated road markings and city-themed exploration elements. Children develop physical coordination, social interaction, and creativity through imaginative traffic-based play, while strengthening their emotional connection to urban environments.
4. Party Room – Social & Emotional Interaction Zone
A dedicated space for celebrations and social bonding, where children can share joyful moments with their best friends. This zone fosters emotional communication, friendship, and shared experiences, adding versatile value to the play cafe design.
5. Sports Court Zone
A dynamic area designed to enhance body coordination, improve physical fitness, and support overall child development. This zone promotes healthy movement habits and balanced physical growth.
