Project Overview

This project is designed to create a creative, theme-based play space for families with young children in the United States, specifically targeting children aged 1–7.
Covers an area of 80 square meters with a square-shaped layout and an indoor clear height of 3.6 meters, it combines a role play zone and interactive playground equipment to encourage imaginative exploration and participation.

The goal is to build an immersive environment that blends real-life settings with interactive elements, inspiring creativity and social interaction while providing a safe, comfortable, and imaginative space for children to play and explore.

Design Concept

Design principles: “Free Exploration, Sensory Stimulation, and Social Collaboration.” It aims to offer families a space where they can escape the stress of urban life and enjoy carefree, joyful moments together. This is not only a magical and secure place for children but also a relaxing and social venue for parents. 

Through realistic miniature scenes, open-ended educational play tools, and multi-sensory design achieved with our specialized sensory play panels and elements, the space stimulates children’s curiosity and encourages self-directed exploration. In the process of role-playing, children develop cognitive, creative, and social skills. The color palette features natural wood tones complemented by soft purples, creating a warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere.

Functional Zoning

The Sharai Café & Play space is divided into four main functional zones:
 ● Children’s Play Zone
 ● Soft Play Zone
 ● Role-Play Zone
 ● Adventure and Physical Activity Zone

1. Children’s Play Zone

Core Equipment:
A large wood-toned custom play structure featuring a treehouse, slides, climbing nets, and other adventure elements—encouraging climbing, sliding, and exploration. This zone is equipped with engaging interactive playground equipment and a multi-functional play set to enhance the play experience.

Safety Features:
The flooring is covered with soft, eco-friendly PVC mats to ensure safety while adding a playful and inviting touch to the environment.

2. Soft Play Zone

This area promotes motor skill development and sensory awareness through soft, cushioned interactive playground equipment.
The soft materials provide both comfort and protection, allowing children to move safely and freely.
Colors and materials are coordinated with the overall design theme, creating a bright and cozy ambiance.

3. Role-Play Zone – “The Three Bears’ House”

Inspired by a natural forest setting, this area recreates the story world of the Three Bears.
It includes:
  A cozy living room where the bears rest
  A treehouse for climbing and exploration
  A mini supermarket for imaginative play

This storytelling-driven setup, supported by themed interactive playground equipment for a cafe, encourages children to engage in imaginative role play, enhancing cognitive development, creativity, and social interaction.

4. Adventure and Physical Activity Zone

This zone incorporates climbing structures, tunnels, nets, and slides, helping children build agility, coordination, and physical confidence. through movement-based play. The inclusion of dynamic interactive playground equipment further enriches the physical challenges and fun.
